Pre-MS&E experience
While working on my master's project on the control of opinions on social networks, I realized the power of algorithms and how they can be used to solve societal problems. This also motivated me to try to understand the importance of data in today's world. I began to learn how data and algorithms are being used for the good and bad of people in many ways. To enhance my understanding of this area, and to be able to make some positive impact, I decided to pursue a PhD in MS&E.
Desired post-MS&E impact
I would like to contribute to society by developing algorithms that make the world more just and efficient. I would also like to help enhance the understanding of how data can be used effectively to make better decisions.
Interests and hobbies
Outside of my academic work, I enjoy playing tennis. I also like to play chess in my free time.
