Department of Management Science and Engineering - Faculty Opening for a Professor (Teaching) in Engineering Entrepreneurship

The Stanford Department Management Science & Engineering invites applications for a teaching faculty position in entrepreneurship.  The appointment will be made as a Professor (Teaching), with rank (Associate or Full Professor) depending upon the candidate's seniority and experience. Normally, the initial appointment term is up to 6 years, and is then eligible for promotion to a continuing term appointment, which provides security of appointment without requiring further formal reappointment.

The primary departmental home of the appointee will be in Management Science & Engineering in the School of Engineering, and the candidate will be an active faculty member and bring leadership to the Department, School and the University. The responsibilities for Professor (Teaching) include: teaching classes, leadership role in designing, coordinating and strengthening the undergraduate and graduate curriculum, and involvement in the broader entrepreneurship educational community at Stanford and beyond.

Applicants must have completed a Ph.D. in the advertised field or a closely related one. The ideal applicant for this position will have a strong commitment to and demonstrated aptitude for teaching, as well as an established reputation and national and international visibility in entrepreneurship education.

  • All applications should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, brief (3-5 pages total, including references) statement outlining the candidate's teaching and curriculum experiences and plans (including educational research if applicable), and any additional material relevant to evaluating the applicant's teaching abilities.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

Associate Professor (Teaching): $152,325 - $184,845
Professor (Teaching): $174,000 - $245,672

Department of Management Science and Engineering - Faculty Opening

The Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the junior level (Assistant or untenured Associate Professor). We invite applications from individuals working at the frontiers of Management Science and Engineering, broadly defined, including candidates from engineering, statistics and mathematics, as well as from the behavioral and social sciences. An earned PhD, evidence of the ability to pursue a program of research, and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate teaching are required. A successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels and to build and lead a team of graduate students in PhD research.
