Arvind Karunakaran, MS&E alums receive multiple honors

A paper coauthored by professor Karunakaran, Hatim Rahman (PhD '19), and former postdoctoral scholar Tim Weiss, investigates the effects of digital experimentation.

Congratulations to professor Arvind Karunakaran, alum Hatim Rahman (PhD '19), and former postdoctoral scholar Tim Weiss!

Their paper, "The Experimental Hand: How Platform-Based Experimentation Reconfigures Worker Autonomy," studies the impact of online experimentation done by platforms, and it received multiple honors recently. 

The paper was recognized by the Financial Times as one of the best publications that has influenced policy or practice. It also received a "highly recommended" status as part of this year’s Responsible Business Education Awards.

It was also selected as a winner in the Best Paper Competition by the Labor Employment Relations Association.
