Academic and work experience
Before joining MS&E, I pursued my undergraduate education at Duke University, where I discovered my academic interests lying in the intersection of mathematics, economics, and computer science. During my studies I was fortunate to do research that allowed me to connect computational methods and game theory to the problem of designing efficient markets and institutions, that provide an equitable representation of conflicting interests in a time of increasing social polarization and inequality.
I was attracted to MS&E because it provides both its faculty members and students with an unparalleled academic freedom to engage in research that drives positive change in applications of social importance.
Impact I hope to have in my field and the world
Having witnessed Bulgaria's ongoing economic transformation from its socialist history, I see in market and economy efficiency a way to uplift people’s living standard. I am determined to pursue a path in a research environment that would contribute to society’s needs in this direction through the advancement of computational and game theoretical methods.
