Student Spotlight: Guillermo Camarillo

Meet Guillermo Camarillo, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in MS&E and the first in his family to graduate from college.

As part of MS&E's 2020 graduates podcast series, Guillermo shares stories about growing up in Chicago in a small community called Little Village. At a young age he developed a passion for math and science, which synthesized into a love for engineering. He shares stories about his time at Stanford and in the MS&E program. He also provides advice for underrepresented minority students on campus, stating that they do belong and their presence in their department and classrooms are valid, in addition to their merit.

Guillermo was also highlighted in a Stanford video series about the class of 2020.
