Academic and work experience
During my undergraduate studies, I double majored in economics and business administration, gaining both academic knowledge and practical experience through internships at management consulting firms like the Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company. These experiences sparked my curiosity about the dynamics of innovation, strategy, and entrepreneurship. I pursued this interest further by completing a master’s in management at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, where I also worked as a research assistant, deepening my understanding of organizational behavior and technology-driven entrepreneurship.
Impact I hope to have in my field and the world
With my PhD in MS&E, I aim to contribute to the advancement of entrepreneurship and innovation in technology-driven markets. My goal is to conduct research that not only enhances our theoretical understanding of these fields but also generates practical insights that entrepreneurs and policymakers can apply to improve startup growth, innovation strategies, and economic development. I hope to explore the complex interactions between emerging technologies, firm strategies, and policy interventions, and ultimately help guide technology ventures toward sustainable and impactful growth in various global contexts.
Interests and hobbies
Outside of my academic work, I have a wide range of hobbies. First, I am an avid Arsenal FC fan and enjoy watching English Premier League football (I even traveled all the way from Korea to London to watch the opening match of the current season!). I also love music and frequently attend concerts. In my free time, I enjoy discovering new places to have good food or coffee, and I practice Pilates to stay active and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
