Academic and work experience

My undergraduate research focused on various topics in optimization, including nonconvex opt, diffusion-based black-box opt, and linear programming, with a particular emphasis on their interaction with dynamic programming, such as in bandit problems and MDPs. I also explored the practical aspects of building world models. I chose to pursue a PhD in MS&E due to its rich interdisciplinary research opportunities and its emphasis on contributing to social good.

Impact I hope to have in my field and the world

The rapid advancement of AI has brought significant benefits, but it has also led to pressing challenges, one of the most urgent being massive energy consumption. My goal is to "optimize" every aspect of AI to promote more sustainable solutions. This includes optimizing the operation of data centers, developing more efficient inference algorithms, and improving the structure of neural networks themselves.

Interests and hobbies

Swimming, badminton and composing music.
