Vote in MS&E's 2025 photo contest
The academic year may pause in the summer, but the MS&E community stays active.
This summer, we asked for photos of work and leisure featuring MS&E and Stanford gear, and now you can choose your favorites! View the photos below, then use this link to vote by January 4, 2026. There are two categories in which you can vote: In The Field and On My Travels. The winners will be announced in an upcoming MS&E newsletter.
In The Field
Formula Sun Grand Prix award group
Submitted by: Ben Gao
This summer, I traded the familiar bustle of internships to work on the Stanford Solar Car Team, which raced in the Formula Sun Grand Prix, where we won second overall. I'm the person in the MS&E shirt holding the award in the photo.

Tektronix Emmy award

Nuclear reactors
Submitted by: Emna Sellami
This is a picture of me at the very top of one of California's two nuclear reactors, with the second one in the background! I interned at PG&E's Diablo Canyon Power Plant this summer on the Nuclear Supply Chain and Procurement team in beautiful San Luis Obispo (the reactors are in Avila Beach but my office was nearby in SLO). I climbed over 150 feet of ladders to get to the top.
