The Society for Medical Decision Making (SMDM) awarded MS&E PhD students Anneke Claypool and Giovanni Malloy with the Lee B. Lusted Student Prize at the 2019 SMDM annual meeting in Portland.
Anneke Claypool had the best abstract in the area of Applied Economics for her research, "Prevention and Control of Dengue and Chikungunya in Colombia: A Cost-Effectiveness Analysis."
Giovanni Malloy had the best abstract in the area of Health Services, Outcomes, and Policy Research for his research, "Cost-Effectiveness of Interventions to Prevent Plague in Madagascar."
