Two of the research teams recently selected for grants and support from the Sustainability Accelerator at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability feature MS&E faculty.

Professor Ashish Goel and Associate Professor Chuck Eesley are involved with projects that study how to finance climate-related technology and how to involve the public in climate policy discussions.

Professor Eesley's project, Reimagining the Financing Paradigm for Technology Innovation in Climate Adaptation, seeks to develop a sustainable financing model that supports technological innovation for climate adaptation in vulnerable regions.

Professor Goel's project, Inclusive, AI-driven use of Deliberative PollingĀ® for Public Support of Climate Adaptation Measures, helps the public form and revise opinions, and to recognize misinformation related to climate policy.

Both projects fall under the climate adaptation area of study, one of eight focus areas for the Accelerator.
