Lori Cottle recipient of Shah Award

Lori Cottle receiving Shaw Award

Congratulations to Lori Cottle!

Lori served the school with distinction this year in her role as lead subject-matter expert during the school-wide effort to redesign and automate the research assistant appointment process. This process had been identified in staff focus groups as the single biggest efficiency pain point in the school. Additionally, for many years Lori has been "the face of Stanford" for students in MS&E. In this capacity, a nominating letter says, she works with all in "an exemplary way: smoothly and efficiently, and with kindness and compassion."

"Please join me in congratulating Lori Cottle, who has been selected as this year's winner of the School of Engineering Shah Award. The Shah Award recognizes the School of Engineering staff member who has demonstrated outstanding competence, dedication, and accomplishments in the past year. Lori richly deserves this award!"  - Margaret Brandeau, MS&E Co-Chair

A reception honoring School of Engineering staff was held Thursday, March 1st.

Thank you Lori for your dedication!
