Congratulations to PhD candidate Alton Russell

Congratulations to Health Policy doctoral student Alton Russell, who won three awards this month for his research on models evaluating policies for US blood supply safety. 

At the 2018 AAAB meeting, Alton was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Abstract Award for Trainees. AABB is the leading professional organization for transfusion medicine and cellular therapies in the US (formerly the American Association of Blood Banks).

At the 2018 Society for Medical Decision Making meeting, Alton won the 2018 Lee B. Lusted Student Prize in Applied Health Economics. He also won the 2018 Canadian Institutes of Health Research’s Institute of Gender and Health award in Sex- and Gender-based Analysis.
