At the AI in Management (AIM) Conference, Professor Karunakaran received a Cheryl and Gerard Tellis Best Junior Faculty Award for his working paper, titled "Artificial Intelligence and Workforce Skill Development: Examining the Role of Meaning."
Professor Karunakaran also received the American Sociology Association (ASA) Communication, Information Technology, and Media Sociology Section's Best Paper Award for the paper, "Frontline Professionals in the Wake of Social Media Scrutiny: Examining the Processes of Obscured Accountability."
