Arvind Karunakaran awarded by ISA, ASA
Congratulations to MS&E Prof. Arvind Karunakaran for winning multiple awards this summer!
Prof. Karunakaran won the Industry Studies Association (ISA) 2022 Frank Giarratani Rising Star Award, and one of his papers was selected for the ISA's Best Conference Paper in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award. The Rising Star Award is given to one junior scholar each year who demonstrates a significant investment in understanding of markets, firms and institutions and brings appropriate theory and analysis to bear.
Additionally, his paper titled "Crowd-based Accountability," published in Organization Science, received the Best Paper Award by the American Sociological Association (ASA) Communication, Information Technologies, and Media Sociology section.
