Amin Saberi receives 2025 ACM SIGecom Test of Time Award

This marks the second consecutive time Professor Saberi has received the Test of Time Award, and the third year in a row for MS&E faculty.

Congratulations to Professor Amin Saberi for receiving the 2025 ACM SIGecom Test of Time Award!

The award recognizes an influential paper published between 10-25 years ago that has has significantly impacted research or applications exemplifying the interplay of economics and computation. It is awarded by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Special Interest Group on Economics and Computation (SIGecom).

Professor Saberi received this year's award for his 2004 paper, "On approximately fair allocations of indivisible goods." According to the award announcement, the paper is recognized "for putting forward the idea of approximate envy-freeness for allocating indivisible items and the introduction of the envy cycle elimination algorithm, foundational to the algorithmic study of fair division in indivisible settings."
