Tie: Ben Gao - Formula Sun Grand Prix, mid-race

This summer, I traded the familiar bustle of internships to work on the Stanford Solar Car Team, which raced in the Formula Sun Grand Prix, where we won second overall. This photo is our race car Azimuth on the second day of racing zooming through the racetrack.

Tie: Emna Sellami - Nuclear Reactors

This is a picture of me at the very top of one of California's two nuclear reactors, with the second one in the background! I interned at PG&E's Diablo Canyon Power Plant this summer on the Nuclear Supply Chain and Procurement team in beautiful San Luis Obispo (the reactors are in Avila Beach but my office was nearby in SLO). I climbed over 150 feet of ladders to get to the top.
