Work and academic experiences

Prior to coming to Stanford, I had completed internships in the areas of computer science research, IT consulting, venture capital, and product management. These experiences allowed me to explore and identify different areas of interest. What I ultimately learned is that I enjoy technology and entrepreneurship, I want to understand how people work in both individual as well as group settings, and I am interested in interdisciplinary work. I quickly realized that I would be able to delve into all of my interests and identify new ones through the PhD program in MS&E.

Impact you hope to have in your field and the world

Ultimately, I want to support underrepresented groups interested in entrepreneurship and business ownership. It would be amazing to be able to provide helpful guidance and resources to members of these groups so that they can be better equipped to start, scale and run successful companies. I believe that a great way to make an impact is to identify something new that creates a positive change in people's lives. That's what I hope to accomplish with my PhD.

Interests and hobbies

Outside of academia, I enjoy outdoor activities. Snowboarding, swimming, running, and soccer are some of my favorite activities to name a few. I also love going to music festivals and other live music events.
